Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick

Today's post is dedicated entirely to one lipstick. Which I guess, would make that a very special lipstick.

First of all, a "sculpting lipstick"...?!? The press release says: "In just one stroke, lips are sculpted with high-intensity colour that stays true for up to 6 hours. From stick to lip,  Multi-Faceted Colour Pigments create shape, definition and volume." Now, if that is what a 'sculpting lipstick' is supposed to be, then by all means this is a sculpting lipstick as it does everything above and more.

RRP: 29 Euro

Roger & Gallet 'Gingembre Rouge' Intro

I don't generally do this, folks, but I am posting to share the news more so than to properly review this product, so I reckon that this could in fact be called a first impression post on the wonderful 'Gingembre Rouge' by Roger & Gallet. Plus, it's my second perfume related post this week, a thing I apologize for but not feel sorry about.

I literally received this product a few hours ago this morning, and I could hardly contain my excitement when I received it for I have been dreaming about it ever since the UK beauty media has started talking about it.

RRP: 39 Euro / 100ml & 17.50 Euro / 30ml

Nuxe Prodigieux Le Parfum

You know how you sometimes google something and you end up discovering something totally different to what you initially were looking for, but something cool and rather exciting online? I call it fate. Well that's what happened to me back in December when I accidentally discovered NUXE's new eau de parfum called 'Prodigieux Le Parfum'. I was genuinely shocked that I of all people, have never heard of this before. Because you see, I adore my Nuxe Prodigieuse Dry Oil and I love it very much especially for its beachy, coconuty smell and the way it lingers on my skin for hours after spritzing.

Anyway, it turned out that the perfume was only available to purchase from their French website, and once I put the product in my virtual basket and entered ALL my details to create an online account and purchase, I got a heartbreaking response that my "address was unfortunately not in France" if I didn't know that already, therefore I wasn't able to get it. So I forgot about it until I got an invitation to a secret NUXE launch. To my surprise, the launch event was for the Prodigieux perfume and darlings, I couldn't have been more happier about that.

Barry M. Matte Nail Paints

I accidentally came across a blog post one day where the Blogger was featuring a collection of matte nail polishes from Barry M. Yahooo! Now I don't know about you, but when I hear 'matte', I'm all over it like a kid in a candy store. And who can blame me? For I didn't at the time own any matte nail polishes in my collection, and that my friends just cannot be!

I obviously couldn't help myself from buying five of the new Matte Nail Paints from Barry M. over two weeks ago, and by five I mean their entire Matte Nail Paint collection, and it was all because Boots had a 3 for 2 offer on Barry M. Or at least that's what I like to tell myself to avoid feeling guilty. And it works.

RRP: €5.99 / each

Clarins Multi-Blush in '02 Candy'

The 'Opalescence' Spring collection from Clarins saw the comeback of a product that is quite close to my heart, the Multi-Blush blushers which were discontinued a good while back. I own one of this old version of the Multi-Blush, the shade '10 Lichee', a shade I was always completely and utterly obsessed with (me and my bud, Mags also). I still use this product and carry it around in my make-up bag, but use it sparingly though since I don't have a back-up of it and I need it to last me forever! You can read further about Lichee, here

I was however extremely happy to find out that the Multi-Blush was coming back in four gorgeous shades, and by that I mean GOR-GEOUS shades!

(On counters now)

In the Multi-Blush compact you get 4 g of product which will last you a fair deal of time - if I am to compare it with the Bourjois Cream Blushers, these retail at 10.49Euro each and come in a 2.5 g net weight pan.

Estee Lauder 'Modern Muse'

I am not one to recommend readers to buy something, but from time to time -ah, who am I kidding? I'm a total and utter enabler and my enabling ways are in no smaller dose in today's post! Consider yourselves warned.

I planned on writing about this new perfume from Estee Lauder for ages and I now feel like I must share information about it with you today, I am procrastinating no more. Perfume is something very personal, a beautiful detail that says a lot about a person but a flippin' lottery when it comes to gifting it to other people.

I was first introduced to Modern Muse back in August and I still remember sniffing two blotters at its press event- one containing the perfume's 'Sparkling Jasmine Accord' as the brand describes it, and one with its 'Sleek Woods Accords', now these two accords combined would have resulted in Estee Lauder's new perfume. People, both accords were so delicious that their combination resulted in something what I like to call 'Perfume of the year 2013'. Now I know that means 'so last year', but really since it's just February, it's still hip and cool and current, and most of all great smelling!

Wet n Wild MegaLast Lip Colors

As a (not so)proud owner of over 50 lipsticks in all shapes, forms, consistencies and finishes, it's a rare thing these days when a new lipstick impresses me. I am not a lipstick snob nor am I a brand whore, I love ALL (minor exceptions) my lipsticks, and I love my cheap as chips NYC Expert Last lipsticks just as much as I love my YSL's. Now the same applies for the newly launched in Ireland budget brand  -Wet n Wild and their Megalast Lip Colors. First of all, I hate the name of the brand, hate it with a passion. No cosmetic brand (or any brand for that matter except maybe sex shops) should ever be called like that in my opinion. Their products though, they do please me so. Ahem!

I only bought three of these lipsticks at c. €2.99 each but I was *this* close to buying the whole range of the Megalast Lip Colors, for all the shades are fabulous and more. The power of a lipstick stands not only in its formulation, oh no! It's in the shade selection as well, more often than not the shade selection counts a wee bit more in my book than the formula itself when it comes to lipsticks. And I am well impressed with their modern shades in this modern matte formulation, which make these products current and in tune with our cosmetic times.
