Elemis Frangipani Monoi Body Oil

I've been dying to try this product since last summer when it was featured all over the beauty blogoshpere as the next big thing in home pampering or 'self-service' spa experience as I like to call it.

To my luck, I was contacted by a beauty website - Bellezo.com and was sent this product to try. As soon as I received the email from them, I started comparing prices of this product online, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that this in particular (I did however compare other items too and this website came out successful) is in fact a lot cheaper on this website than on other beauty websites I found. I wanted to compare a few items pricing wise because in all fairness I could not have been able to give them a mention on my blog otherwise. That being said, I never ordered from them myself nor have I heard of them before they contacted me. But onto the product itself...

The Frangipani Monoi Body Oil by Elemis (formerly known as Exotic Frangipani  Monoi Moisture Melt)  is basically a solid product which turns into an oil at high temperatures, and is designed to be used
on the body, hair and nails.

The glass container is gorgeously simple in my opinion, a little tricky to use because it holds within an oil product which makes it slippery upon use and I'm always terrified not to drop it on the floor, so therefore it's not that travel-friendly in my opinion either.

The scent is an exotic blend with key ingredients like Frangipani (also known as 'Flower of the Gods'), Coconut Oil and White Gardenia flowers. 'Monoi' in ancient Tahitian means 'scented oil' and is made by infusing blossoms into coconut oil. The scent is VERY similar to the one of Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse  which I simply adore.

The oil sinks into the skin very fast and does not leave any greasy residue behind just a gorgeous smell and well moisturized skin. I use this post-shower: I put the sink stopper into the sink, release some hot water  and leave the bottle in for a few minutes, a process that melts the product and makes it perfect for use. I adore the entire process and find it quite therapeutic in a spa ritual kind of way.

This retails on Bellezo at 29.40 Euro and while it is indeed a pricey product, it's a little luxury that I for one, would be happy to invest in once my sample runs out.

Have you ever tried this?

I had a sample of this when i was on honeymoon over 7 years ago. It is the best smell ever. Totally worth the money as i can see and smell that alot of pricey oils have been used.

I love the scent of this too, and find it does hydrate really well. I've actually been using it a lot as a cuticle oil recently, and it seems to be doing a fab job at keeping them moisturised. It's a lovely product! x

This is one of my favourite things in the whole world and I adore the smell.

I use it after the shower (or better a bath) and usually pop the bottle in my bag if I'm going away because it's solid at usual room temperature it won't leak.

This is one of my all time favourite products and scents. I used this and the accompanying body wash on the morning of my wedding to calm my nerves and give me 10 mins of me time before all the craziness! Try the body wash as the tube is travel friendly and leaves your skin smelling amazing!
