Khroma Kardazzle 'Kim' Palette

Hmm, how do I put this? I am not a fan of the Kardashians, I have nothing against them but I have nothing 'for' them either if you know what I mean, I just don't really care about them, but then again I don't really care for any reality shows except the good auld 'Tallafornia' of course (ahem!).  So when I heard they were coming out with a new make-up line called Khroma Beauty, it is safe to say that I was not jumping up and down with excitement, but instead went a bit 'meh' at the news.

I was recently contacted by Cloud10Beauty.com and was asked if I wanted to review any of the Khroma products from their pre-launch collection and as a good beauty blogger that I am (ahem again!), I was happy to oblige, and the product I chose was the 'Kim' Kardazzle palette.

My 'Holy Grail' Haircare Products

...yes people, I used the H.G. words. It's crazy really, if someone would have told me in the past that I will have a Holy Grail hair product in the future, I would have defo dismissed them with an eyebrow raise, a 'whatever smile' and a pat on the back (whilst laughing on the inside at their silliness).

But you see, I do have these and I must admit it took me by surprise. Yes, we're still talking about haircare here. It first started with some PR samples, nothing more nothing less, just something to trial & judge (as you do). They since became an obsession for me (already purchased them trice) and they fast reached the 'cannot live without' status in my shower.

Ladies, I give you a shampoo and conditioner, not just any, but the John Frieda Frizz-Ease Straight Ahead Shampoo & Conditioner:

The Body Shop 'Smoky Copper' Eye Palette

The 'Smoky Copper' eyeshadow palette by The Body Shop was released with their Christmas collection back in December and ever since I first laid my eyes on it, I knew I had to have it. And so I went out and bought it a few weeks back, as I'm not one to wait too long especially when it comes to beauty or perfumes.

My Smashbox 'Weekend Face'

Today I'm going to introduce to you two of my latest weekend staples from Smashbox,  the Waterproof Shadow Liner in 'Luminous Fig' and their Be Legendary Lipstick in 'Cognac'. I admit that during weekends I take more time with my make-up routine as opposed to weekdays when one eyeshadow (and sometimes none), a lip balm and a good base will do the trick. On weekends I experiment.

That being said, ever since receiving these two products in my goodie bag at the Smashbox Christmas collection launch, I must confess there's not much experimenting going on with my looks...with products other than Smashbox and these two in particular, of course.  Not to mention that their Photo Set Finishing Powder is my go-to setting powder, and their Photo Finish Dark Spot Corrector is a fantastic base and I use them all the time!

First, the Waterproof Shadow Liner in Luminous Fig is my absolute dream when it comes to eyeliners, this chubby pencil is as long lasting as 'long lasting' can get, highly pigmented and creamy. It's fabulous both applied on the eyelids and on the waterline, it blends beautifully and it stays put better than a powder eyeshadow. Disregarding the fact than I soon need to purchase a good and suitable sharpener to sharpen this bad boy, I simply adore this product. The shade is pure perfection for my eye colour and for 22 Euro  , I would not hesitate to purchase this myself, given the fact that I will actually find a sharpener for its chubby width.  This is available in five other beautiful shades, but I find it hard to believe that any of the other shades would beat this one to be honest.

Butter London - Spring 2013 'Sweetie Shop' Swatches

I was delighted to be invited to the launch of the Butter London Spring 2013 Collection called 'Sweetie Shop' on Thursday, since I've never tried any of their nail polishes and the brand was rather unknown to me as a result.

I had three shades in my goody bag so I thought I'll introduce them to you today, in a ridiculously picture heavy blog post :). While I cannot express myself as to how long lasting these would be in wear (will report back soon), I can definitely confirm at this stage that they dry very fast once applied, which is a big bonus for me personally.

Clarins Double Serum

I am quite reticent when it comes to writing about skincare products, but it is with great pleasure and excitement that I hereby open my blog post this evening writing about the swanky new anti-ageing skincare product by Clarins, simply called 'Double Serum'.

I've tried my good share of skincare serums in my lifetime, including the Shiseido Future Solution LX Ultimate Regenerating Serum that retails for a mind-boggling 270 GBP (:O), but I can honestly say I've never been as impressed with a serum as I am with the Double Serum.

Disclaimer: Before I even get started on this post, I must and wish to mention that my Double Serum is in fact a Press Sample which I received at it's launch event back in November 2012. All personal opinions expressed here are 100% honest, yet they are subject to my own skin type and own expectations in terms of results, price point and overall pleasure of use.

In 1985, the first Double Serum concept with separate hydric (water based) and lipidic (oil based) phases was developed by Clarins, and has since been redeveloped and improved six times, the 2012 version representing the 7th generation.

The Double Serum by Clarins it's said to activate the five vital functions on which the skin's youth and beauty depend: Hydration to delay the  appearance of wrinkles, Nutrition to restore the skin's suppleness, Oxygenation for radiance, Protection against free radicals and premature ageing and finally Regeneration to maintain the skin's firmness and youthful appearance.
