I've yearned for this for ages and it's finally mine! This is one of the most raved about MAC eyeshadows I know, so I was thrilled on Friday that I finally decided to purchase it. So, what was all that fuss about and was it all worth it?
Now I must mention that this is the first MAC eyeshadow I own (I know, sacrilege!) and it cost me 15 Euro. It has a frost finish, very soft and as one would expect it, very pigmented. Easy to work with and blend, and lasts a decent amount of time on the lids.
However, I'm not quite sure that this particular shade and its weight of 1.5g are worth 15 Euro to be completely honest. Let me explain: we have on the left Exhibit 'A' (MAC Satin Taupe) and on the right -Exhibit 'B' (Inglot P402), an eyeshadow I already had in my collection. Now these are dead-on the same shade, formula and finish. MAC weighs 1.5g while Inglot (Square) offers 2.7g of product, MAC retails at 15 Euro, while Inglot retails at 5.50 Euro when bought in a 10 pan Freedom System palette. There is no doubt about who wins and who loses in this battle here. See the similarities for yourself :).
In other words, I didn't really need this shade did I?
It is said that this shade is particularly beautiful and colour enhancing on both green and brown eyes, and I happen to have a combination of these, as in - I say they're green and my hubby & passport say they're brown.
