L'Oreal Paris describes its new summer collection as a 'mouth watering, sugar sweet selection of swirls, sparkles and shimmering shades'. When every other brand in this time of the year brings to the market the usual bronze and gold, the L'Oreal Paris collection seems to be more focused on fun pastels, fresh, young and delicious shades, what we would be accustomed to during the Spring season.
L'Oreal Paris 'Color Riche' Nail Polishes &
'Miss Candy Glam Shine' lip gloss shades
Closer look:
Color Infallible Eyeshadows - RRP: 10.79Euro
Available in three shades, the Miss Candy Color Infallible Eyeshadows are somehow what I would call pressed pigments in a jar, with a soft, buttery consistency and iridescent finish, these are extremely pigmented and easy to work with.
Miss Candy 'Glam Shine' Lip Glosses - RRP: 11.29 Euro
There's no denying that the two shades I received as press samples have a strikingly similar result when applied on the lips, so note that you don't need both of these, just in case they were both winking at you in a 'buy me/love me' kind of way ;). I like the consistency of these, it's very soft and creamy unlike sticky, and do a great job in keeping your lips moisturised throughout the day. Plus, the wand is just spot-on, with a heart shaped flexible applicator, it layers the product really well onto the lips, making it really easy and a pleasure to use.
Miss Candy Color Riche Nail Polishes - RRP: - 7.55 Euro
This particular shade applies quite sheer, and one most definitely needs a minimum of three coats in order to get a nice opaque finish.
Needless to say, 'Wild Purple' performs better in the layering department :).
A thing I personally am not impressed with here, is the price. These nail polishes are available in ten beautiful shades there's no denying, but they cost 7.55Euro each - for a 5ml product. Now to compare these with some other nail polishes on the market, most brands offer a minimum of 13.5ml product, for a little over the price of these ones. For example, Sally Hansen offers 14.7ml of product for an RRP of 8.95Euro, so that kind of explains matters as to why I am so unimpressed with them.
I really must invest in a few more Color Infallible pots in the near future because they're simply stunning and really high quality. The lip glosses, while they wouldn't particularly be my cup of tea just because I'm a lipstick girl, I must say that they are quite good quality as well, they feel and look really expensive and well worth their price in my opinion.
So, see anything here you might consider investing in?
Yours, ArtDonatella

I love their polishes. I have one myself and fell madly and deeply in love with it but the price has turned me off buying another :(
