FIRST LOOK: YSL 'Le Teint Touche Eclat' Foundation

Boy have I got news for you! Or maybe for some of you YSL fans out there this is quite 'old'- since good news 'travel with the speed of Twitter' nowadays.

The essence of the iconic Yves Saint Laurent 'Touche Eclat' Highlighter has just been captured into a light-catching bottle of foundation, simply and quite deservingly named 'Le Teint Touche Eclat'.

LE TEINT TOUCHE ECLAT: 'Illuminating foundation, dimensional radiance, weightless perfection'

The worldwide press launch was hosted on Tuesday in Dublin, by Fred Letailleur -Yves Saint Laurent's International Make-Up Artist, who has worked with some of the world's most beautiful women, including Angelina Jolie, Kim Catrall and Cate Blanchett.  I was extremely lucky to attend the biggest YSL launch in ten years, and even more lucky to have been personally shade-matched by Fred Letailleur himself and then given a press sample of Le Teint Touche Eclat to trial.

INGREDIENTS LIST:

This exciting new product on the market follows twenty years after the launch of Touche Eclat, and the special feature of this formula is that it contains no opaque powders, which are basically responsible for the 'mask effect' and ashy/grey results on darker skin tones in a foundation, and these were replaced with a soft focus gel for a smooth and velvety application.

Le Teint Touche Eclat was again developed by Lloyd Simmonds, Creative Director Make-Up Yves Saint Laurent, in 22 international shades that correspond to the 7,000 skin tones identified in the world (who knew there were so many?).

A foundation as precious as this deserves its own Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation Brush, which again Lloyd Simmonds designed, with synthetic fibres that are just perfect for a flawless result, with bristles that are not too firm nor too soft.

More information on the formula and application to follow in another post, complete with swatches and my personal impressions.

Le Teint Touche Eclat RRP - €38 / 22 shades

Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation Brush RRP - €32
