Portfolio Shoot

It was a very cold Saturday morning, and so early (9:45 - yeah, that's early for me on a Saturday) and all I wanted was to be in my warm bed, under my warm duvet. Plus, it was my first photoshoot and I was nervous as hell. I've organized everything: location, models, a fantastic photographer, and all I could think of was: what if something goes wrong, what if we can't get into the studio, what if? and so on and so forth.

At the end of it all, we had a great time, the team was wonderful, the photos came out amazing and I was overall happy with the results. I must admit I was rather slow in my make-up application and of course I could have done much better, but I'm sure these can be fixed in due course, I just need more practice ;).

Here are a few non-edited, non-photoshopped photos on the day.

PHOTOGRAPHY BY: Frank Courtney
MODELS: Alana Carroll & Aisling McCentee
MAKE-UP BY: Yours truly :)

At work :)

High Fashion Look

The fantastic Aisling, I love this girl! She's so photogenic and so high fashion looking, very talented girl

Natural Day Look

Here is the stunning and lovely Alana, this girl is so pretty I could paint whatever on her face and she'll still be looking like a doll, a beautiful face for beauty shots

Colour Photographic Look

(I love Alana's expression here, it's just divine)

Evening Look
- with a soft brown smoky eye look and coral lips

Frank Courtney was amazing I must add, he is a wizard in photography, and such a pleasant company as well, I HIGHLY recommend him. He's a wedding photographer and if you take a quick look at his work on his website & blog http://www.frankcourtney.com/ , you will instantly agree with me I'm sure, such tasteful and elegant shots, and I love how his photos are not photoshopped into fake, but just a tiny bit, quite unnoticeable to me personally (you can probably tell that I'm not a massive fan of Photoshop). Ladies who are engaged and to be married soon, you must check out his work, he's simply awesome!

The girls were absolutely fantastic, highly professional and very helpful, delights to works with ;).

Huge thank you's to them all for their help, I hope they enjoyed the shoot as much as I did! Also a huge thank you to my beautiful friend (my brother's fiancee), Andreea, who was there on the day with me, for moral support :D.

Special thanks to Temple Lane Studios - Ireland's premier recording studio group, who provided us with the perfect dance studio to work in. Check out their website should you be looking for a rehearsal / dance or recording studio, they will surely have what you need.

Hope you enjoyed this post, and I shall see you back here tomorrow :), good night y'all!

Yours, ArtDonatella
