Aldi's Lacura Multi-Intensive Serum Review

I'm finally confident enough to review this baby! I didn't want to rush into it or anything. Just because it's at an affordable price (I mean practically 'for free'), doesn't mean that you lovely ladies should run out and buy this little gem, right? Right so!

First impressions:

Comes in a sleek glass bottle, with a perfect pump dispenser that manages to 'free out' the actual desired amount of product.  The consistency is light, milky and not your usual serum I must say. Not water-based, nor runny, but when spreaded over the bare face, it has a beauty fluid consistency (think of Olay's beauty fluids). The smell was too darn strong for my nose at the beginning (typical Lacura scent), not an unpleasant one, but quite strongly scented. However, with time, I got to enjoy the scent just as  much as the serum itself (and 'males' a.k.a. 'other halves' like it too)! It's packed with a whole lot of yummy ingredients, but because I'm not an expert I will not get into this topic. It sinks immediately into the skin, leaving behind no residue whatsoever, just a softly moisturized 'baby bottom' like skin...*hmmm, is this a positive thing? I heard it is!* Let's move on people!

Today's facts:

1. My skin has never felt better, softer and happier
2. Having oily skin is not very helpful in finding the right night-time products to suit me, and I find this serum to be excellet for calming down my skin over night (after taking off a kilo of slap...just sayin'!)
3. Excellent at diminishing the effects of old acne (on my chin, which is my main 'problematic' area)
4. I have used it for almost 4 weeks now, religiously twice a day - please see proof below
5. I already bought a 'back-up' and I am happy that I can afford one, really! *Wink*
6. I don't have any wrinkles at present, so for review purposes and not only, I sent one bottle of this to my fabulous aunt, who is 45 years old, and who is kindly going to mini-review this for me in the month to follow :)
7. I love it, love it, need it! Hopefully will never be without it! My chin and I are a very happy team right now!

First bottle, half empty after 3&half weeks of use

Retails at 4.79Euros...aha, you read that right! :)

What do you think? Do you own it, if not, will you be buying this?

Yours, ArtDonatella

I don't own it but you've now got me tempted to buy it, sure as you said yourself 'it's practically for free'. Hehe. Will also be interested in reading your Aunts mini review.

@ Karen - Well thank you senorita! Hold it off precious! Didn't really bother using that! Actually, it's your doing here, every time I used that, I was thinking 'bout your terrible experience with eye creams! Hehehe!

Great review hun, im the same i like to really test skincare out before writing about it. This sounds great, im a bit oily too and get breakouts so i like something that is quite light on the skin.
Im also surprised that it comes in a glass bottle as the cheaper ones are usually plastic i find.
I'm tempted to try this if i ever run out of the products i already have lol xx

@ Nicoletta - Thank you my dearest! The bottle is very nice indeed, I have an expensive Lancaster serum from TK Maxx as well, I must say, it is still untouched because I'm just holding onto this one for the moment! Totally recommend it, forget the price, the product is really, really nice! XO

wow... a good serum under 5 euro?? I must try it, never been to Aldi so i predict a little trip :P. What moisturiser do you use on top? x

ArtDonatella said...

@ YourBeauty - You've never been to Aldi? Well, you have to go, if not only for the serum, the greceries are a bit different from what you get around here too! I shop a lot in there!

I'm afraid I don't use any moisturiser! There I said it! I have oily skin and I hate moisturisers (weird, I know) so I only use this one, and it does the job properly! XO

Try to use a gel cream or a fluid with spf on top of your serum, im very oily myself but im afraid of wrinkles :D

@ YourBeauty - Thanks for that love! You speak the truth! :)

am going to try this ..thanks Donatella ....would the strong perfume be ok 4 sensitive skin?

ArtDonatella said...

Hi Denise! This is a tough one because I don't have sensitive skin myself and usually don't mind scented products, however it must be noted that this is HEAVILY scented indeed! That being said, I never read any bad reviews about this...so I really don't know what to say here, sorry :(....let me know how you get on if you do try it! xox
