I love primers (considering I have only tried three so far)...I tried in the past 'Prep and Prime' from MAC and Gosh Velvet Touch Primer. It was time for a new sudden purchase, don't you just love those?
So, on my way back from Portugal, I Sky-shopped (on the plane that is, not in the airport) the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer. Did not really expect much, actually I wasn't even that excited- it's just a primer, I thought. I bought the set with the travel size 15ml one + full size 30ml for euro 26 - bargain-licious, long live Aerlingus!
The full size one comes with a pump, in a surprisingly light container - plasticky feel, not glass.
Now onto the review...the primer looks like this:
Thick gel like consistency, very velvety, you would swear it's Gosh's Velvet Touch Primer...but swear not my friends, for its far from it. It quickly gets absorbed into the skin, better said it dissapears, a little going a long way to cover the bare canvas that is your skin.
Once applied it feels soft, not greasy, even, pores no more, you could nearly get away without wearing any foundation (nearly I said, at least for me). Foundation goes on smoothly, bla bla bla, ya-da-ya-da-ya-da...the usual.
What is most miraculous about it is the brave battle it gives throughout the day to keep your makeup looking flawless, yes I said FLAWLESS. Zero shine, gorgeous complexion, stays put like a hero.
In conclusion, how did I live before this? Now that's what I call an efficient primer, and I know I haven't tried the whole lot of them, but then again, you always know when 'IT' is the ONE (you don't go out trying everything, do you, do you?....get the allusion? :) ).
What is your fave primer? Do you even use one?

Back from holiday...
Hello everyone, I am back from my holiday in sunny Portugal, Quarteira. Hope you're all keeping well.
My hubby and I had a lot of 'chill out time', afternoon naps, but most of all SUN in the beautiful Quarteira... Lashed the Nivea SPF 30 & sometimes 50 on, and hit the pool - we only 'inspected' the beach from time to time to check if its still there (as in 2 minutes walk from our hotel). Here are some pics , if you're curious that is...
City view from our hotel room's balcony- on the 11th floor
Ocean view
Hotel 'Luna Atismar'
Ahhhhhhh, breathtaking!
So yeah, there you go, it's all finished- to my despair, but it's always good to be back home!
Lots of kisses....Yours, ArtDonatella
xoxo
